Eyebrow Shaping

A well designed brow has prevented many women from deciding to have a brow lift.

Beautifully shaped eyebrows with a nice arch are an important part of a polished look. When done well, eyebrow shaping calls attention to your eyes, lifts and frames them and makes them appear bigger.

Finding the right shape for you however, can be a little tricky.  The following seem to be a good guide to follow:

1. Round Face: a high arched, angular brow will make your face appear thinner.
2. Long Face: a more horizontal eyebrow with an arch that is further out towards your hair line will make your face appear fuller.
3. Heart Shaped or Square Face: is balanced out by round eyebrows
4. Large Nose: to minimize a large nose, aim for highly arched, dark or thick brows.
5. Rounder brows will soften a sharp or pointy chin.
6. Large eyes are more proportional with thicker, dark colored brows.
7. If you wear glasses, pick a pair that matches the shape of your brow instead of attempting to make your brows match your frames.

Don’t ever shape your eyebrows yourself; it is too easy to ruin your whole look with a badly shaped brow.

Don’t get your eyebrows waxed if you are using a product like Accutane or Retin-A, it may lift your skin .
